Abstract
Twins have been found by field-emission microscopy in vapor-grown whiskers of Au and Pt. Evidence is presented to show that the twinning occurs during whisker growth, and possible twinning mechanisms are discussed. A mounting technique is described for making observations of the whisker growth ends. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
