Abstract
Data from the USA Census and the National Health Interview Survey were used to project thefuture relative status of the aged in health, income, occupation, and education. It was found that inall areas the relative status of the aged is rising and will probably continue to rise if presentprograms for the aged are continued or expanded. This evidence may indicate that presentprograms for the aged are having beneficial effects and it could be used to justify the continuationor expansion of such programs. Keywords
