Heavy-ion subbarrier fusion in terms of the direct reaction technique

Abstract
A simple method based on direct reaction theory is proposed to describe the subbarrier fusion of two heavy ions. Application of this method is exemplified by explaining the difference between fusion in the + system and in the + system.
