Abstract
The authors have studied the resistivity, magnetoresistance, magnetostriction and specific heat of a sample of Y4Co3. They confirm the existence of a superconducting transition at T approximately 2.5K; specific heat data show that at least 20% of the sample becomes superconducting. They also find local moment effects, an exceptionally strong magnetoresistance and orbital effects. Keywords
