Abstract
An electro‐optical ring modulator, used as a cavity output coupler, has permitted simultaneous active mode locking, Q switching, and cavity dumping of a continuous‐pumped neodymium:yttrium aluminum garnet laser. We have obtained output pulses of 4 MW peak power and 35 ps duration at repetition rates up to 2.5 kHz.Keywords
