Abstract
This note describes the effect of intermittent feeding on the performance of an acclimatized anaerobic sludge blanket reactor treating chemithermomechanical pulp (CTMP) wastewater. Intermittent feeding does not cause process instability when the anaerobic reactor contains acclimatized anaerobic granular sludge. The reactor can be left idling in a substrate limited state for up to a week without causing biomass inhibition. Keywords
