Abstract
Dipeptides of threo- and erythro-.beta.-hydroxyaspartic acid were transformed into O-tosyl derivatives, which on base-catalyzed elimination gave aminofumariac acid derivatives. The possible mechanism of this process and the spectroscopic properties of the elimination products are discussed. Keywords
