Abstract
A comparison is made between measurements of the translational and collective diffusion constants in polyacrylamide-water gels. We conclude that : a) the solvent viscosity does not depend on polymer concentration, and b) scaling exponents can be deduced from dynamic light scattering measurements only after correction for solvent displacement and residual hydrodynamic interactionsKeywords
