Abstract
The features of the radio network planning tool proposed by the European RACE Advanced Cell Planning Methods and Tools for Third Generation Mobile Radio Systems (PLATON) project are described. Some results of the propagation measurements conducted to support the planning tool are reported, and their impact on radio network planning and the design of handoff parameters is discussed. Keywords
