Widely tunable long-period fibre gratings

Abstract
The authors report the realisation of a new type of long-period fibre grating with an enhanced temperature sensitivity of 80 nm/100°C by the use of specially-designed fibre structures incorporating polymers. These new gratings should enable broadly tunable filters for communications systems.Keywords
