Abstract
The magnetic order of MnCl2-graphite intercalation compound has been observed by the measurement of the AC magnetic susceptibility and the static magnetisation in the temperature region from a few kelvin to 50 mK. This compound is regarded as a quasi-two-dimensional antiferromagnet on a triangular lattice. Magnetic order was found at about 1.2K. The AC magnetic susceptibility shows a peak at this temperature, and this peak shifts to the low-temperature side when DC magnetic field is applied. Though the intraplanar interaction is considered to be mainly antiferromagnetic, remanent magnetisation was found below 1.2K.Keywords
