Amplification of density perturbations in fluids with negative pressure

Scalar perturbations in a perfect fluid with negative pressure are studied. The expression of the density contrast $\delta$ is established when the equation of state has a barotropic form: i.e., $p_0=q{\epsilon }_0$. The behavior of $\delta$ is examined for different form of the background scale factor.
