Abstract
Polymorphism for equine erythrocyte malic enzyme is detectable on starch gel electrophoresis. The frequency of MEIS was 0.06 in 667 Standardbred and 0.09 in 85 Thoroughbred horses. No genetically determined electrophoretic variation in soluble malate dehydrogenase [E.C. 1.1.1.37] was detected. Keywords
