Abstract
The major ailments of the present are 2 local symptoms of ailments of society as a whole. The 2 are considered in detail - compulsory uniformity and the consequences of the rapid growth of science and technology, including under the latter overcrowding of the curriculum, fragmentation of knowledge, fascination of machines and the tyranny of technologic jargon.Keywords
