Abstract
The acid soluble nucleotides of rat brains were analyzed by high pressure pellicular anion exchange chromatography. The method uses a linear concentration gradient formed by pumping 0.25 M KH2PO4 plus 2.2 M KCl at a rate of 12 ml per hour into a gradient mixer containing 45 ml of 0.01 M KH2PO4 plus 0.001 M H3PO4. The carrier flow rate was 24 ml/hr at 70° and 800 PSI. Fourteen nucleotides were separated from 1.0 mg of rat brain in 50 minutes. The mean composition and standard deviations for the acid soluble nucleotide composition of rat brain is given. Keywords
