Abstract
The relation between the grain size, the density and the sintering conditions for polycrystalline nickel ferrite has been studied for specimens prepared by a conventional ceramic technique. The contribution to the ferrimagnetic resonance linewidth due to the pores within the ferrite is considered and it is shown that a modification of the phenomenological theory given by Schlömann (1956) explains this contribution for both yttrium iron garnet and for nickel ferrite. Keywords
