The ceramic properties of nickel ferrite and the porosity broadening of the ferromagnetic resonance linewidth

Abstract
The relation between the grain size, the density and the sintering conditions for polycrystalline nickel ferrite has been studied for specimens prepared by a conventional ceramic technique. The contribution to the ferrimagnetic resonance linewidth due to the pores within the ferrite is considered and it is shown that a modification of the phenomenological theory given by Schlömann (1956) explains this contribution for both yttrium iron garnet and for nickel ferrite.
