Self-broadened widths for the rotational Raman and infrared lines in CO2 are calculated using the approach of the preceding papers. Comparison is made with the experimental data, and with the results of the existing theories. Core potential parameters are determined from the comparison of theory and experiment. It is found that the same value of the average quadrupole moment can explain the Raman as well as the infrared data. (Different values were used in the existing calculations.)
