Bullous Pemphigoid in an 11-Year-Old Boy

Abstract
The initiation and course of a chronic blistering disease and immunologic changes characteristic of bullous pemphigoid in an 11-year-old boy suggested that an allergic reaction to one or more drugs was followed by the development of antibodies with reactivity to the dermal-epidermal junction. The prolonged nature of the disease is hypothesized to be secondary to the presence of such antibodies.
