SELECTIVE TEMPORAL ARTERIOGRAPHY AND BIOPSY IN GIANT CELL ARTERITIS: POLYMYALGIA RHEUMATICA

Abstract
Twenty patients suspected of having vascular involvement in polymyalgia rheumatica were studied by temporal arteriography and temporal artery biopsy. This series reveals a substantial number of angiographically positive cases of arteritis, while biopsy provided only 1 abnormal case.
