Abstract
Functional abnormalities of the large intestine were produced by intraperitoneal administration of vinblastine sulfate, mepacrine methanesulfate and isonicotinic acid hydrazide in mice. Microscopic damage to the myenteric plexus was evident. Drug-induced damage to the myenteric plexus in the large intestine provides a means of assessing neurotoxicity in known and unknown substances. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
