Abstract
A numerical study of the effect of laser-frequency fluctuations on dispersive optical bistability shows a strong dependence on the strength and correlation time of the noise. Both the stationary-state characteristics and switching times are studied, and a qualitative explanation is provided for some of the numerical results. Keywords
