Abstract
The high Tc superconductor Bi1Sr1Ca1Cu2Ox has been fabricated from a solid‐state reaction of SrCO3, CaCO3, Cu2O, and Bi. The onset temperature is found to be 120 K. A second phase is present with an onset of 90 K. Both phases are observed in ac susceptibility and resistance data. This compound appears to be more stable than Y1Ba2Cu3O7 in the presence of water. Keywords
