A Generalized Equation for Adsorption Isotherms for Multi-Component Organic Pollutants in Dilute Aqueous Solution

Abstract
Published models describing equilibrium concentrations of organic pollutants in dilute aqueous solutions on activated carbon powder are compared with published experimental data. In this paper their reliability is examined on the basis of the accuracy with which they represent the experimental data. It is noticed that each model has restrictive validity for the conditions that were derived. Therefore, an attempt is made to develop a generalized relation to cover the entire spectrum of multi-solute adsorption data.
