Measurement of short-wavelength ion turbulence in a C-laser-heated plasma

Abstract
Strong ion turbulence generated in a C-laser-heated gas-target plasma has been studied using ruby-laser Thomson scattering. Spectral and temporal features along with fluctuation levels which have been determined appear to account for the anomalous absorption previously observed.
