Abstract
Describes a prototype video filter that exploits an advanced 'analog-compatible' BiCMOS technology that features thin-film resistors and double-polysilicon capacitors. The prototype filter has an elliptic lowpass response with 8-MHz corner frequency. The filter is fabricated in a 2.5-GHz, 2- mu m BiCMOS process and draws 110 mA from +or-5-V supplies. The results obtained demonstrate the feasibility of BiCMOS for low-distortion filters in demanding mixed-signal applications, such as high-definition television. Keywords
