Abstract
A review of the state of current commercial vascular grafts and the types of tests proposed by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation Vascular Prosthesis Draft Standard is presented. The philosophy of the standard and the types of products covered are discussed. Several areas requiring additional development are noted. The status and future of the standard are now up to the general user community.Keywords
