Abstract
The absorption spectra in the colored state of electrochromic V2O5 thin films are classified into two types. One has the characteristic that the absorption in the visible region enhances with the injection of Na+, the other has an absorption band in the near-infrared region. The former type of film is amorphous and the latter is crystalline. The films prepared at substrate temperatures below 160°C are amorphous and those prepared above 180°C are crystalline. Amorphous films can turn into crystalline ones by the annealing. Keywords
