Abstract
Telecommuting can help the MIS manager attract and retain qualified staff, reduce office space costs, and improve productivity. It also cart help stretch mainframe resources by shifting work loads to off-peak hours. When implemented property, with attention to human resource issues, telecommuting is an effective business practice for many applications, such as programming, systems engineering, data entry, and technical writing. This article examines the planning needs and management implications of telecommuting.Keywords
