Abstract
The attenuation of plane elastic waves in the megacycle region is investigated for several different propagation directions in single crystalline zinc. Results are in qualitative agreement with the losses predicted theoretically due to dislocation damping and thermoelastic effects, and in addition losses not accounted for by the available theory are observed. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
