Abstract
Grapenuts proved a satisfactory diet for rearing the larvae of each sp. in close confinement. Complete larval growth, in both spp., was attained in 3-4 months, and in this developmental stage the dormant season was passed with slight mortality. Pupation begins in Apr., and the peak of adult emergence occurs during May. The complete life cycle, as detd. in these studies, averaged 365 days for P. lanceolata and 314 days for P. crinita. Keywords
