Headache in childhood

Abstract
EEG records from 500 children ranging in age from 2 to 15 years and complaining of recurring headaches were analyzed for disorders. Of these, 220 tracings showed abnormalities such as slowness, 75%; spikes, 22%; and increased rate, 3%. The majority of disorders occurred from 5 to 13 years of age. Non-organic types of headache are not uncommon in children but a relationship to migraine or subsequent convulsions is a possibility.
