Abstract
Measles and rubella have declined dramatically since 1979, yet both occur much more frequently than expected among persons of high school and college age. Over the past two decades, changes in the epidemiologic characteristics of these diseases have posed the most serious impediment to eradication. Approaches to identification and immunization of susceptible individuals are evaluated. Keywords
