Waldenström's Macroglobulinemia

Abstract
Three patients with macroglobulinemia of Waldenström obtained unequivocal, subjective and objective improvement on continuous administration of cyclophosphamide for varying periods from nine months to 21/2 years. The outstanding objective improvement was demonstrated by the ultracentrifugal quantitative analysis of the serum showing progressive decrease in macroglobulins. Comparative determinations of serum protein electrophoresis showed a marked decrease in the γ globulin peak. The hematological picture progressively returned to normal.
