Abstract
The results of a numerical calculation of the highly excited Stark states of a hydrogen atom around the zero-field ionisation threshold are presented. These results show that the widths of the bluest Stark components remain less than the spacing between them even at positive energy. Analysis of the numerical data allows the authors to explain the peculiarities of the photoionisation spectrum of a hydrogen atom in a uniform electric field. Keywords
