Abstract
From 3100 ml pooled adrenal vein plasma of mongrel dogs a steroid was isolated, which by its infrared- and sulfuric acid spectrum, its mobility as free and acetylated compound in different systems of paper chromatography, and a positive reaction with sulfuric acid-ethanol reagent was identified as 3[beta]-hydroxy-pregn-5-en-20-one.Keywords
