Abstract
The paper deals with the performance prediction of conventional receivers in non-Gaussian disturbance. The analysis is carried out for compound-Gaussian clutter plus thermal noise although the emphasis here is on a clutter-dominated environment. In this case, closed-form expressions for the false alarm rate are also given. A sensitivity analysis of the detection schemes to the statistical model for clutter amplitude shows that the assumption whether the input clutter is Weibull or K-distributed is uninfluential.
