Abstract
Resistance was exhibited among 104 Rhododendron species to foliage feeding by Sciopithes obscurus Horn by using a detached-leaf feeding method. Seven species were not fed upon while 16 and 73 species had moderate and low resistance, respectively. Eight species were highly susceptible to weevil feeding. Leaf scales, texture, and metabolites were possible factors contributing to the observed resistance to weevil feeding.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
