Abstract
The surface structure of (0001)‐ and single crystals of ZnS and CdS sublimated under controlled variable vapor pressure was investigated. The results were found to be consistent with the terrace‐ledge‐kink model of sublimation. Possible revisions to the theory of the effect of charged carrier concentration on sublimation of II‐VI compounds are suggested.
