Abstract
In deriving the “one-half” continuity correction, the special choice of an interval of length h around x of the form (x – ½h, x + ½h) has its geometric and intuitively appealing significance. For a rigorous derivation, however, this special choice should be analytically justified. Such analytical derivation is presented. Keywords
