Abstract
Ovarian [beta]-glucuronidase activity in the rat and rabbit is concentrated mainly in the germinal epithelium, in the granulosa cells, particularly of young follicles, in fibres of the stroma and the theca externa, and in arteriolar walls. The interstitial cells and theca interna are unreactive. During pregnancy the activity of most ovarian structures becomes markedly reduced, though the early corpus luteum of the rat shows intense activity. Keywords
