To the Editor: We have been following a case of congenital folate deficiency in which an unusual neurologic deficit developed, because of inadequate folate therapy. The nature of this patient's impairment was not mentioned in Dr. Erbe's article1 or in the literature.A 17-year-old moderately retarded girl was the product of a consanguineous mating of a 16-year-old brother and a 13-year-old sister.
