Abstract
A Salmonella culture which possessed biochemical properties identical with those of S. paratyphi A and having the antigenic formula I, II, XII: 1,5 was isolated from the urine of a case of enteric fever. This culture was identical with Phase 2 cultures of S. paratyphi A previously produced by growth of the organisms in agglutinating serums. It is the first record of the natural occurrence of Phase 2 of S. paratyphi A.Keywords
