Abstract
The data submitted in a paper by Dr. Miriam P. Finkel of the Argonne National Laboratory (Science, September 19, 1958) is analized. The authors maintain that she is unjustified in her belief that it is extremely unlikely that the present contamination with Sr90 from fallout from nuclear weapons tests will induce even 1 bone tumor or 1 case of leukemia in human beings. To provide statistical evidence such studies would have to use a much greater number of mice than the number of people in the world. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
