Abstract
The magnitude of the magnetic hyperfine field at the gold site in the Heusler alloy Au2MnAl has been measured as 1.21+or-0.06 MOe at 4.2K, using the Mossbauer effect. The experimental result is compared with the predictions of three theoretical models for hyperfine fields at nonmagnetic sites in 3d transition metal alloys. Keywords
