Abstract
Endogenous heparin may function in the repair of injured vascular endothelium. Injected exogenous heparin is fixated at the endothelial surface. The many beneficial effects of heparin at this site minimize the harmful effects of atherogenic and thrombotic factors in humans, rats, rabbits and dogs. This publication has 24 references indexed in Scilit:
