Abstract
The energies of some nuclear gamma-rays emitted in deuteron-induced radioactivities have been measured with a magnetic -ray spectrograph with photographic film as detector. The energies measured were those of the conversion electrons, and in some cases also those of the photoelectrons ejected from a heavy element. Independent measurements of the multipole order have been obtained where possible from the internal conversion coefficient, the conversion ratio, and the lifetime of the -ray transition. In the case of eight out of the fourteen -rays measured, a fairly definite assignment of the multipole order has been made. In the nuclei , , , and the probable nuclear spins of the states involved are given.
