Abstract
Operating characteristics of the limited-streamer mode were investigated using a single-wire, cylindrical-cathode gas ionization detector. Among the data presented are pulse height as a function of voltage indicating the presence of two amplitude groups, evidence of afterpulsing, counting characteristics, and the dependence of efficiency on incident radiation rate. Keywords
