Abstract
A microwave-afterglow mass-spectrometer apparatus has been used to determine the dependence on electron temperature of the recombination coefficient of electrons with the dimer ion ·. We find /s over the range K, and K. These results are quite similar to those found for the C·CO dimer ion but quite different from the dependence inferred from previous measurements in nitrogen in which the ions were not mass identified.
