Abstract
Narrow‐band luminescence from rare‐earth centers in zinc sulphide powders has been observed with medium‐voltage direct‐current excitation for five rare‐earth‐doped zinc sulphide phosphors. The brightness and powder efficiencies have been measured and the electroluminescent spectra obtained show differences from the photoluminescent spectra. Keywords
