Abstract
The estimation of tocopherol (I) in calf plasma was compared using two procedures, chromatography or hydrogenation, for the elimination of carotenoid interference prior to estimation of (I) by the Emmerie-Engel reaction. Both procedures gave essentially the same results with essentially the same degree of precision. For calf plasma, the hydrogenation procedure has the advantage of requiring one-half the time employed in the chromatographic procedures. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
